Today is Friday, acting like Thursday; tomorrow is Saturday disguised as Friday, because last Monday didn’t exist, discombobulating the DGEV space-time continuum to the extent that this coming weekend isn’t actually a weekend–it’s more like a week-merge, since the days do not right themselves until Sunday, doing double duty as Saturday and itself (would that make it schizophrenic Sunday?), after which the days of the week regain their accustomed contexts, though not without considerable disgruntling on the part of the affected/afflicted, namely, the employees of DGEV, taking into consideration that the week-merge which rights Time robs us, and nobody likes to be robbed, unless they staged it to commit insurance fraud, which is completely different from the case proposed here.

Three-day weekend + five-day workweek = one-day weekend.  I don’t like that math.
